Nice to meet you! I'm Maigan.
I'm a self-taught wedding photographer based in London, Ontario, Canada who left the teaching profession in 2012 and never looked back. Over the past 14 years, I have photographed over 300 weddings as the lead photographer, been nationally published in print, and was recognized as a finalist in the Shoot and Share photography contest spanning 150 countries for 6 consecutive years. While I work mostly locally, I live for shooting destination weddings & elopements. I have been fortunate to work with clients in Italy, multiple areas of the Caribbean, Canada's east coast, Mexico, the Canadian Rockies and Sedona, Arizona.

Originally from North Bay, Ontario, you could say I’m a Northern girl with big city dreams. I can also oscillate between those two worlds on a moments notice. My love for nature stems from spending my summers as many Canadians do - lakeside on a boat soaking up the sun, listening to great tunes, surrounded by the people that I love. I believe in life balance. And that everyone defines balance differently. I love a killer sunset, road trips & mountain life, campfires, and thunderstorms with soul. I'm a sucker for fashion, a passionate yoga teacher, enjoy the art of cooking, and cherish time spent with girlfriends & a good glass of wine.
I believe in manifesting your own happy ending by keeping your dreams in line with your heart, surrounding yourself with those who bring out the best in you, and never losing yourself in anything. I'm a wanderlust soul who craves travel & adventure, but equally loves family & the coziness of home. To me, the four best doctors are exercise, nutrition, nature and laughter. I'm big on energy and intuition. Love all things spiritual. A firm believer in gratitude. And finally, I’m the lucky mother of two beautiful children and they have my whole heart.
MY PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY
Although my nostalgic appreciation for photographs can be traced back to a house fire that destroyed nearly all images of my childhood, my path in life was completely changed after getting my first DSLR camera. I was completely hooked by the challenges of the craft and it wasn't long before I discovered this was my true passion and calling.
Life takes you down roads that lead you towards your destiny - and when we respond to the calls that ignite our spirit, are brave enough to take risks, seek the lessons from our failures and continue to persevere - it unfolds beautifully. I'm just so incredibly grateful to all the people who have supported me throughout this journey, and the talented photographers & industry creatives who continue to inspire me - what an amazing community to be apart of! I feel so unbelievably grateful to share my gift with clients in a way that's meaningful to them.
Currently, I'm focusing on using my Bachelor of Education in new ways by developing resources and workshops to teach aspiring photographers. I'm always looking to expand my international wedding & elopement portfolio, and collaborate with other creatives on stylized sessions to obtain more recognition in the bridal fashion side of the industry.

My work is a creative mix of candid photojournalism & classic portraiture with a timeless elegance drawing inspiration from my love of nature, fashion & what I view as beautiful.
My clients can expect professionalism, organization, honesty & a whole lot of fun. I help structure timelines, recommend vendors, collaborate on your vision, keep things on schedule, and work cohesively with vendors. I'll provide tons of direction to ensure your best features are highlighted, and bring an energy that makes you feel comfortable so the vibes are just right.
It's my job is to minimize the stress so you can live in the moment on your day - because that's where the real magic happens! Ohhh - and that nostalgic appreciation for photos? I take it with me to every wedding knowing I'm capturing memories for you & the generations after you.
